5 Star Makeover: Compound Butter Roundup

This month's challenge was to create a compound butter using a butter substitute such as I Can't Believe It's Not Butter or a butter product of your choice. Here are everyone's wonderful creations!

AUBERGINE TAHINI BUTTER AND MORE by Mia, Bright Morning Star.



Mia created many different fabulous compound butters including savory Aubergine Tahini Butter, which sounds incredible tossed with pasta. Also, in her post are sweet Strawberry Apple Cinnamon Vanilla butter; Caramel Butter with butterscotch, gems, licorice candy; Pink Dreamz Delicious Butter; savory compound butters for stuffed mushrooms, Pesto butter, and Avocado Butter. This delicious avocado butter is excellent with corn bread muffins!

A wonderfully sweet and delightful butter with chocolate and dates.



COMPOUND BUTTER WITH FETA AND OREGANO by Chris, Nibble Me This.



This compound butter with feta cheese and oregano infuses the roast chicken with wonderful Greek flavors!



COMPOUND BUTTER WITH SMOKED SUN-DRIED TOMATOES by Natasha, 5 Star Foodie.



Flavored with Himalayan pink salt, this smoked sun-dried tomato butter was amazing on top of the grass-fed filet mignon.



CRANBERRY BLOOD ORANGE COMPOUND BUTTER by Diva on a Diet, Beach Eats.



This pretty pink butter features a bright flavor of the orange mixed with the tart cranberries. That combo, paired with the the subtle hint of saltiness from the butter spread, is excellent. Serve as desired with warm scones, biscuits, atop muffins, breads, waffles or pancakes.



DAIRY-FREE SPICED HONEY “BUTTER” by Alisa, One Frugal Foodie.



A delicious, dairy-free honey-buttery spread that Alisa whipped up from scratch to serve with roasted carrots.



HICKORY GRILLED LEEK AND LEMON COMPOUND BUTTER by Brad, Eatnlisten.com.



The addition of hickory grilling smoke to the delicate flavors of leek and lemon sounds incredible in this butter. Brad serves his compound butter with Hickory Smoked King Crab, Porterhouse Steak and Taters.



KUMQUAT JALAPENO COMPOUND BUTTER by Yasmeen, Health Nut.



A combination of zesty kick and the sweetness of the kumquats compliments the heat from chili peppers. This fusion butter can be savored as a spread on whole grain crackers, toast or used to flavor up grilled fish or pasta.



LEMONY PICCATA COMPOUND BUTTER by Deb, Kahakai Kitchen.



Flavors of a traditional piccata sauce with lemon, capers, and parsley are captured perfectly in this creative compound butter. Deb serves her lemony piccata butter with opakapaka (pink snapper), asparagus, and brown rice.




MOREL COMPOUND BUTTER by Christo, Chez What?.



"I cant believe this is not compound truffle butter but instead its morels"! Christo serves this amazing morel butter with soft scrambled eggs.

It was not easy to choose a winner as all of these compound butters are really excellent.
